Taken from an email I sent to one of my radio friends - my summary of free radio heard on Easter Saturday:

On shortwave, we have had Channel 292 on the air from around 7am on 6070 kHz with about 750 Watts. They really come in well however, early in the evening, and tonight were broadcasting tapes of Laser 558 from the middle 1980s. Radio Mi Amigo is another legally operated heritage station from Germany, on 6085 kHz and 7310 kHz, but it does struggle to make it to Bristol.
Of the pirates, Laser International was on 6220 kHz through the day, Radio Mazda on 6310 with polka and schlager music, and Radio Technical-Mann playing Eurodance on 6210 kHz into the early evening. Technical Mann operates at 1.3 kilowatts, making it a lovely strong signal here.
All India Radio, China Radio Int. and Radio Romania Int were all noted on the 31 metre band, together with a broadcast in English with low modulation, which I think might have been the Voice of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
Over on medium wave, Radio Caroline North has been loud and clear after dark via the 1368 kHz transmitter of Manx Radio. Programmes continue all weekend, save for a break for an hour on Easter Sunday evening, when Manx Radio transmits religious programming from the States. Music is progressive and rock, with some pop classics thrown in, all from the mv Ross Revenge on the River Blackwater. On 1602 kHz, Radio Seagull from the mv Jenni Baynton is struggling with interference from West London's Desi Radio on the same frequency, but when audible is playing free form music of a variety of styles. And in the extended medium wave band, Dutch and Flemish pirates have been heard through the evening, with 1611, 1625 and 1648 kHz being particularly active. No positive idents though as all the announcements were aimed at local audiences in their native dialects.

That's too bad. LOve to hear Radio Merlin on the air, keeping the free radio flag flying. Hope you're back soon!
